A senior US official warned, Osama bin Laden (UBL) and the core al-Qaeda (AQ) leadership are plotting new attacks against the United States and its allies from safe havens inside Pakistan
In my opinion, a U.S. official would not say this unless the U.S. is picking up increasing AQ “chatter.”
Increased “chatter” can mean as attack may be in last stages of planning or about to go operational.
I want to emphasize this attack could be against any U.S. interest worldwide, mostly likely a soft target like a hotel, resort, bank etc.
I would place UBL and Zawahiri in North Waziristan.
